We do not consider Socrate a competitor. At the time of writing this, Socrate hasn’t even managed to figure out how to change the player walk speed, something we figured out in about five minutes.

Immediately after finding out about us, the owner banned all Alterra developers and joined our server on an alt. He then DMed us, started calling us detected, vibecoded, and just got mad.

I want to focus on that vibecoded accusation. As of writing this, Socrate’s website is fully AI generated and looks like this.

I think that’s all that needs to be said. We don’t think Socrate is in for the long game. We’ve looked at the chat in the Socrate server, and the owner mostly seems to be begging for money and saying he’ll only take advice from buyers.

To us, Socrate just looks like a way to get money quick and then disappear.
